Research has found that breath is an essential link between the mind and the body. Each emotion has a distinct breathing pattern. For example, when we are angry, the breath becomes short and when we are sad, the breath becomes long.

The reverse is also true, that breathing in a particular pattern can induce a corresponding emotion. So instead of being overwhelmed by our emotions, we can transform those using specific breathing techniques.
